NOTD | Metalics & Glitter

Bonjour!
I've been a little slack with posting lately, so now uni has officially finished for Christmas & I have a week of doing nothing before I go back to Scouse-town, I'm going to schedule a hoard of posts.

My first Scheduled post is the NOTD from The Clothes Show last weekend. I know, I know, I'm late so It should really be NOLW but meh, technicalities.

In prep for the day I decided to buy myself a new outfit (see here) & splurged on myself in Superdrug with a few new nail polishes. I decided on MUA Shattered Ice for The Clothes Show. I love metallic shades on other people but until then hadn't bought any for myself.
- With this I added a thin layer of a glitter No7 polish my Nana bought me for my Birthday this year (however I can't read the name of this polish as the colours make it impossible to read the bottle!!)

I'll definitely buy the MUA polish again, but the glitter polish is an absolute nightmare to get off my nails! - I'm finding that with a lot of my glitter polishes though, it takes hours of scrubbing to even get a layer off!
Which is annoying because my favourite colour polishes are all glitter based!

Can anyone recommend an easier way of getting rid of glitter polishes?
What do you think of my metallic nails?

  1. I love the way you've done the glitter on your thumb!

  2. To remove glitter polish - soak a cotton ball in nail varnish remover for each of your fingers.

Put the cotton balls on your fingers and wrap in tin foil to keep them on.

Wait five mins and then take off - glitter will come off no problem!
