The #LeedsBloggerMeet

Yay another northern blogger meet up!
Last Saturday a large group of us Yorkshire bloggers descended on Patisserie Valerie Leeds for what would be my 3rd ever blog event. Excited doesn't even cover it.

After walking to meet up with a large chunk of the bloggers attending the event at the train station, we made our way to the venue & immediately filled half of the whole café as we ordered our tea's & coffee. It was lovely again to have a chance to see Yuna, Michelle, Kel & Sammi along with all the other lovely new bloggers I had the chance to chat to.
Hayley from Tea Party Beauty was an absolute diamond organising the event, & even managed to organise a free slice of cake of our choice (FREE CAKE!) as well as 2 amazingly generous goody bags. - Wowza!

I ordered a yummy cappuccino & strawberry gateaux as you can see from the photos above. & yes they really did taste as good as they look ladies! I loved the cake so much in fact that I even bought 4 slices to take home for myself & the boys (Strawberry Gateaux, Double Chocolate Slice, Carrot Cake & Tiramisu) I must say though, all of the cakes looked divine so it was a really hard choice!

The goody bags were just awesome, I was amazed by how much Hayley had organised. & not only were we blown away by the contents of our bags but she also organised a few ladies from local PR companies to come & talk to us about a few beauty clients & products.
I think I may have to start a new series soon on samples as I now have a draw full to the brim of things I need to try out! - I'm slowly making my way through all the hair care sachets but there are just so many!

In addition to our bags, Hayley also organised a raffle in which jewellery, hair care products, styling tools, t-shirts & all sorts of extras were up for grabs. We all had a numbered envelope in our bags that represented our raffle number & one by one prizes were called out.
I was one of the lucky ones who won a prize too which I'm still completely in shock over. I am now the very proud owner of an Enrapture Encode Totem Styler! - Amazing! I haven't had a chance to use it yet, as I have been opting for my usual frizzy straight barnet (sheer laziness really) But I will be doing a post soon comparing Enrapture to Yogi hair stylers.

The day finished with more chat & a pretty dramatic phone call from Creature after our council tax was taken 8x thanks to a glitch with the systems (say whatttt?) We're now over £1000 out of pocket for the next 2 months - Fantastic... So I had to go home & attempt to sort it all out & in the process missed shopping with the girls, so I didn't get the chance to browse Harvey Nichols or bring back any goodies or blogger meet hauls! - sad sad sad!

I had an amazing day regardless of the council though & really enjoyed meeting everybody old & new! Thanks again to Hayley for organising such a lovely day, thanks to Patisserie Valerie for accomodationg us & giving us some absolutely delicious cake & coffee. & Thank you to all the generous companies who donated products for our awesome goody bags. Reviews to follow!

Have you ever been to Patisserie Valerie?

Don't worry the one you have of me with the cake is just as bad.. Although I have shamelessly put that as my FB photo #NotAKnownGiverOfFucks
