Frugal Fashion Finds | Dupe Dresses

 Hola Guapas!

By now I should technically be sat on a sun lounger with a cocktail the size of my head, because BINGO this post was scheduled way in advance whilst I'm soaking up the last of the summer sun in Marbs!

So, before I jet setted off, I had been lusting after a Chi Chi dress, & after a long online window shopping sesh not too long ago I settled on the Megan dress being my favourite, not only for holiday but also as a perfect icy tone for around Christmas/NY time.
However, after a quick swap over to Matalan (I am a self confessed Mata-holic) & a shop for a few basics, I stumbled across the Drop Back Lace Skater Dress which is almost a perfect copy of the Chi Chi Megan frock! I couldn't believe it!

Okay, so here are the facts:

I have to admit from the photos, the quality of the skirt looks much higher with Chi Chi, I love the frilly seams that are so characteristic to their dress range. However, I am very partial to a dramatic drop back! - I just wish the bow was a little more dramatic too, had that been the case, I think Matalan would have been a winner for me.
But for the sake of £8.99 I think on this occasion I would be more inclined to splurge!

Which dress would you prefer? Chi Chi or Matalan?

  1. I think I actually prefer the Matalan one, I like the slightly darker colour and higher neck, and the back is stunning - but I can see what you mean about the skirt on the chi chi one! :)

  2. Both those dresses looks beautiful but I love the Matalon one, always on the hunt for dupe bargains! and I love how the back just goes that little bit lower and the colour is slightly darker.
