NOTD | Galaxy Nails

Hey guys,
Bringing you a little NOTD today!

I haven't done an NOTD for what seems like agesss, although I have had my nails every colour under the sun lately! & after watching my lovely flat mate Rach do her nails in galaxy print yesterday I just had to have a go!

I wish I had a photo of Rach's nails to show you, hers have got orange tones running through too (of which I did try at first) but because I couldn't find a sponge anywhere!? - I couldn't blend the colours together very well.

The polishes I used were;
 MUA - Plum Noir (base)
Rimmel Lasting Finish - Azure (Win this in my giveaway)
Models Own - Show Stopper

Okay so basically to recreate this you will need a black or purple base, then using a sponge (or tissue if you can't find a sponge) dab your nails with the blue and blend well. Finally add a blob of fine glitter polish on the nail and blend that over
(you don't want a tonne of glitter on there though, other wise it'll look a little bit too busy)

- Adding a pink tone, orange and even a few little pieces of larger glitter look great too (I will get round to doing a better example soon!! - Promise)

I would definitely recommend doing this with a sponge rather than tissue though.. The blending is a lot easier and the results are generally better. But for my first proper attempt I think this is quite effective!
- Like omg, I have the galaxy in my hands!!

Have you tried this before?
I would love to see your galaxy nails if you have, please leave URLs!

The Clothes Show Live 2012 | Photos & Freebies!

Finally I've got round to sharing a few photies from this years Clothes Show!
- Better late than never I guess?  -
The day was fabulous, we timed out arrival to a tee, getting there 15 minutes before our catwalk show (which was a miracle after opting to take the Mega bus option this year) & our taxi driver, our 'Brummy' taxi driver had no idea where the NEC was?! - How is that even possible? That's like asking a Scouser how to get to Anfield and them replying 'where?'.. Not great.

But we got there in one piece and the show was unbelievable. I haven't been to the Clothes show for a few years but the show is definitely bigger and better than before. Although in previous years I remember seeing The Saturdays & Amy Winehouse, this year the band was Times Red?.. Never heard of them.. & on reflection I feel they're pretty much just a 90's boyband - Not my cup of tea, however they did try to put on a show & get the crowd going, so kudos for that.

I have hundreds of photos from the day, mostly catwalk snaps, but due to my camera charger going walkies the day before the show, I had to take them on my phone.. To be fair they are a marked improvement from my shitberry, (as I now have a swanky new phone).

Amazing seats! - My Dad really spoilt us!

Emily & Me, Waiting for the show to start

Yummy male models in the new Peter Andre range

Whit woo! - The lady next to us literally almost burst our eardrums screaming each time ANY of the male models came on stage! - She wasn't fussy.

Action shot. Skills with a phone camera ;)

All the dancers were unbelievable this year!

Gorgeous models! The Lingerie range this year was VERY saucy, lots of PVC & leather.
Clothes Show goes bondage!

I'm waiting on my friend to upload her photos (as she took an actual camera) & I suspect her photos are going to be a lot clearer. - She also has a photo of me 'udderly' excited outside the David & Goliath stall stood next to their cow graphic!

The day pretty much consisted of myself & Emily casually floating around all the stalls, she was the perfect person to spend the day with, she's actually so laid back she may as well be horizontal (as our friend Rachel would say!) - So the day was so relaxing.
We collected a lot of goody bags & for once I didn't buy any unnecessary clothing. But that may have something to do with the fact I'm skint.

ModelsOwn goody bag Inc, Show Stopper & Tangerine Queen | Clothes Show Platinum ticket Goody Bag | Elle Goody Bag Inc, St Tropez | Rimmel Goody Bag | Cosmo & Company Goody Bag

In a nutshell we had an awesome day, I had my eyebrows done (and shamelessly forgot to take photographic evidence) Bad blogger!
& so far I've played a little bit with my goodies, but reviews will be coming very soon as well as another picture post as soon as Emily uploads her snaps from the day.

So, did any of you go to The Clothes Show this year?
Which day did you go?
