Boyfriend jeans & summer florals | WIWT

| Jeans - Mango | Shirt - Primark | Bag - Mango | Shoes - Topshop | Necklace - H&M |

Now we're getting into summer I'm banned from my forever favourite skinny jeans & black jumpers. Replaced by summery floral patterns and pastel shades (much to my pale skins annoyance). However I'm not quite ready to give up my jeans.. Being a size 12 and quite big on the thighs, as a rule I probably shouldn't be wearing boyfriend jeans as they use serve to make my ass and thighs look huge, but they're just so darn cute!

Personally I loved this outfit, the shirt looked really cute tucked in loosely, and paired with the neutral accessories it brought the whole look together. I wore this for a simple shopping trip with Creature, and felt cool enough without flashing too much milk bottle pale flesh!

What's your go-to summer outfit?

Spring is here | Wishlist

I love a good internet shopping spree, although at the moment, I'm banned from spending anything until payday. So instead, I'm bringing you a wish list of a few pieces I want for spring.

First up is a statement jacket. I'm desperate for something bold and floral for this season, & I was instantly drawn to the Red floral silhouette print blazer from River Island. I thought I wanted a multi coloured jacket when I first started looking, but I love the blood orange/red in this jacket & the white and black accents would make it unbelievably easy to accessorize.
Something I have in abundance is black tops and jeans, but I loved this spaghetti strap top from H&M & the lovely powder blue jeans from Topshop. The blue is perfect for the coming summer months, especially because the UK weather can be pretty unpredictable, so a good pair of light jeans is an essential.

& onto accessories, no SS14 wardrobe is complete without a neutral or black pair of ballet flats, I liked the Dune Lucille Brogue Tassel Loafer for the simple reason it combined both leather and suede.  The jewellery is from Mango (of course) & the bag Zara - You can't beat a bit of Mango or Zara jewellery! But I felt in particular the red bag paired with the bracelet would pull the whole outfit together.

What do you think of my choices?

Dresslily.com | Wishlist & Mango dupes

I recently saw a great little outfit post from one of my favourite blogging gals Sammie from Little Blonde Life, in which she was wearing a cute royal blue dress from Dress Lily (see here). So, intrigued by the apparent low price tag & quality fabric dresses, I decided to have a gander myself.

Firstly, I was amazed at how cheap so many of the items are, think Primark prices for items that (in many literal cases) are Mango/Zara quality. And as I flicked through page upon page of lovely items I soon started to recognise some of the frocks, & to my amazement I have actually found 5 dresses that we were formally sold in Mango!

But first, lets talk about my wish list. You may notice from Bo Blabs blog banner, I love birds! Any bird print, bright colours & in particular parrots or swallows are just my ultimate favourite print. (I even have 3 bird tattoos) So as you can imagine I instantly fell in love with the bright bird shift dress, much to Creatures disapproval. My only criticism of this dress however would be the neckline. Had it been slightly lower I would have added it to my shopping bag, however I regrettably know that this style of neck doesn't actually suit me #MakesMyNeckLookLikeAThumb.
I also fell in love with the amazing range of accessories. In particular my favourites from the above wish list would be the bicycle brooch and the boots. Oh my lord those boots!  I've been on the hunt for a nice pair of dark brown/ox blood flat boots for ages, & the day I finally find a pair I love - They're sold out in my size! Gutted.

So, the MNG dupes. They are identical to the ones we sold last season, in fact all of the above bar dress 2 and 3 were sell outs too. & I think the majority started out in between £34.99 - £44.99.
Dress 1 we actually sold in several different styles, the landscape print was one of our best sellers consistently throughout last year. I can only imagine that these dresses were sold straight out of the factory without the Mango tags.
Now, Dresslily.com are selling these dresses in many cases under £10 which is a fraction of the price of Mango. So if you missed out on any of the above in the sales, I would snap these up asap!

Since writing this post, I have actually placed an order with DressLily, buying dress 4 & 5 of the MNG dupes as well as the adorable bicycle brooch & a pair of knee high suede boots. I'll be looking forward to styling some great outfits with my bargains in the future, so stay tuned!

Which is your favourite item?

I have too many shirts | OOTD

 | Shirt - Mango (old) | Cardigan H&M (sale'14) | Jeans - Mango (sale'14) |
 | Shoes - Gifted  (Christmas)| Bag - LYDC (Christmas) |

Since working at Mango, I've moved away from my relaxed leggings + tshirt combinations that were wore all too much last year. Although I loved fashion back then, I was still quite the lazy dresser.. Getting up for uni, usually with minutes to spare thanks to the devil that is the snooze button, it was all too easy to grab the nearest pair of jeans & what ever t-shirt or hoody was at the top of the pile.

However,  now that I've been working with such gorgeous classically stylish clothes for a year, I've found that my style has become a lot more grown up. My Mama & Nan commented on this last week whilst I was at home too. It seems that the new me, in my ever growing collection of shirts & blouses, is a hit with family as well as my own self esteem.
On another note, I fear I may have a bit of a problem. Sorting through my washing a few days ago I counted how many blouses I actually own... 21.. Not including the ones I have to wear as uniform either.. Wowza!

What I'm wearing above is my new favourite cardigan, you might recognise it from my January sales haul. I love the moss green colour, especially against the navy blue of my blouse & ox blood LYDC bag. The blouse I bought when I first started working at Mango, but you can get very similar styles this season too. It's a very classic trend for Mango, and something they tend to reproduce each season. In fact, Mango are fab for repeating styles. So for those of you, like me, who tend to stick to a style when you know it works, it's great to know you don't necessarily have to buy in bulk through fear of the style or cut of that dress or shirt disappearing.

Are you a blouse sort of girl?

Asymmetric shirt | OOTD

| Blouse - Primark | Jeans - Mango | Bag - Deichmann | Watch - Michael Kors |

It's that time of year where the lighting is damn awful.. But lord I do love a good floral shirt!

I'll be bringing you a few over sized shirt outfit posts in the next few weeks, & you may recognise this one from last weeks January sales haul. This particular one is my favourite of the three I bought. It's slightly less see through which means I can get away with not wearing a tight tank top underneath. Although with the weather getting colder, extra layers are always welcome!

I've also featured my over sized envelope clutch, this was also in my last haul post, but I wanted to include this with the outfit so you can really get a sense of how big it actually is. Oversized bags are a favourite for me, I'm one of these bag hoarders that has to take a far too much makeup, tissues, diaries, big purses & other gadgets out with me at all times.. & yes, even on nights out I've been known to carry unnessesary tat, just in case.

Have you picked up any bargains lately?

January sales | Haul

| 3x Floral & check shirts - Primark £12 each | French Bulldog vest - H&M £5 | Green Aztec Cardigan - H&M £7 |
 | Black oversized jumper - Mango £19 | Shoe boots - Deichmann £24 | Blue dress - Warehouse £30 |
| Coral dress - H&M £12 | Bag - Deichmann £7.50 | CKin2u 100ml - Superdrug £19 | Necklace - Primark £5 |

Don't you just love a good sale?
I've been steadily purchasing over the past few weeks, and clearing out a lot of my old clothes to make space for a 'new me' vibe in my wardrobe. Can you believe I found 14 pairs of jeans?! I've thrown out over half of them, keeping only my favourites.

So I hit Primark last week and found one of the floral shirts & the necklace above. They're weren't on sale, but it always feels like sale prices anyway.. I loved the blouse so much that I went back and bought it in 2 other patterns later on. They're over sized & longer at the back, so look unbelievably flattering with a pair of turned up jeans.

I'm in absolute love with my boots & bag. The shoes were a planned buy, I'd seen them a few weeks ago full price at £35, but when I went in looking for suit shoes for Creature I found the last pair of 3's reduced to £24.. Fate! - The bag however was 1/2 price & a complete impulse buy. I love envelope clutches & this one is huge. Perfect to hit all my crap in for a night out & big enough for all occasions.

I have a bit of an obsession with shift dresses at the moment, they seem to be the only thing that flatters my figure. So the warehouse dress was reduced from £50 & was like gold dust to get hold of! I eventually tracked it down & bagged the last one in my size too. The powder blue colour is something I don't have in my wardrobe at the moment & I can help but think this would look perfect for my graduation this summer too.

Have you hit the January sales?

Winter wollies & Tartan | WIWT

| Jumper - H&M | Jeans - Mango | Hat - Boohoo | Boots -Linzi Shoes | Bag H&M | Scarf - Primark |

We're so close to Christmas! & today I'm feeling a little more festive, wrapped up to my eyeballs in my favourite cable knit jumper, thick weave jeans & tartan scarf.

Can you believe this scarf is from Primark?! It's so thick and wooley! I originally went in on the hunt for a red tartan scarf but soon fell in love with this neutral check print instead. & to be fair, this one definitely matches my wardrobe a little better.

I'm still in love with my Boohoo Jillian wide brim hat, bought originally for Marbs earlier this year as a summer accessory. But it goes so well with my Linzi Chelsea boots I won in the Etail PR facebook competition this summer, and my winter wardrobe in general too.

I think this outfit pretty much sums my autumn/winter style up perfectly. I like to layer, be comfortable but always accessorize. Something my always glamorous Mama taught me well!

Do you have a favourite winter jumper?

Party season looks | Mango

 | Dress | Clutch | Shoes |

Christmas is the best time to rock a glitzy frock! & the Disco open back sequined dress would be absolutely perfect for any party season occasion. I love the colour of this one, it's lovely to see a sequined dress in something other than black - However it is also available in navy blue, which I think is a great alternative if you own one too many LBD's!

I wanted to keep this look relatively simple, the dress should take centre stage, so paired with a great little structured bag - In this case the Boxy metal frame clutch. & some great classic strappy sandals, you will look glamorous enough for the red carpet.. Or the office party!

My second outfit comes with the gorgeous Monito lightweight wrap playsuit. Jumpsuits and playsuits are great for the party season, I myself own more than I can count on two hands & they're a special occasion favourite all year round. I particularly love the colour of the Monito playsuit, the blue is a gorgeous tone & a little more standout-ish to the blacks & reds we usually see around A/W party season.

You have that lovely thick waistband, so I thought adding one of Mango's classic suede wrap belts into the mix will add a more dressy feel - Although scrapping the belt and spicing the mix up with some gun metal jewellery & a statement clutch would work a treat too.

I may be a little in love with this box bag.. I'm thinking of doing a post dedicated just to the amazing box clutches. Mango have a great statement clutch collection at the moment, probably the best I've seen from the past few seasons.
Finally, throw in a pair of your favourite black leg elongating courts & you're ready to party!

| Dress | Shoes | Necklace | Clutch |

Sequins, sequins, sequins everywhere! I think I probably could have toned this down a little, but it's Christmas and the perfect time to sparkle! The velvet dress is quite subtle, we have it in store now & it looks gorgeous on. Although it does have sequins in the fabric, I don't think the photo here does it justice, I feel the pattern is a little more understated after seeing it up close.

I wanted to create a really effortlessly sparkly look. Again I've gone with the classic strappy sandals style, I think the silver tones go really well, & Mango have a great metallic accessories range at the moment.  The clutch from Look 2 as well as this lovely sequinned envelope clutch would go great with this dress, anything metallic gun metal tones to tie in the dresses thin belt.

& finally, for statement necklaces, Mango are definitely a contender this season. I was blown away when I first started working there by the jewellery, & this season is no exception.
For this outfit I chose one of the smaller necklaces, I played around with the idea of something big & chunky but I think the 'grunge' element of this necklace works really well with the velvet dress without being too overpowering.

Are you looking forward to the party season?
Which is your favourite  party look?

Mango tartan dress | WIWT

 | Mango dress | Linzi Boots | Boohoo Hat |

I bought a really cute royal blue ruffled chiffon dress from Mango for Marbs a few weeks ago, but after some brutal honesty from Creature I decided to take it back & swap for this cute aw13 number!

I'm loving tartan at the moment, you may have seen my wish list last week which also featured another little tartan dress, but I love this particular one because it's very understated. The muted colours are really cute & match my Boohoo Jillian Wide Brim Hat perfectly.

Other than the hat, I didn't really feel it needed any accessories, I wanted to let the print do all the talking. but the matching boots & hat give the outfit a little on trend umphh!

What do you think of the Ambar check flowy dress?

Floral Print Chiffon Dress | Mango OPI collection

I posted a few months ago about Mango's monthly bargain collections, however shortly after this we launched into Sale so I haven't had any OPI collection to share with you. But as we've flowed into a new season its brought us another gorgeous dress at a very purse friendly price.

A quick catch up for any of you unfamiliar with the OPI collection. Each month Mango releases three items at a lower price point which will be available for a limited time, these pieces will be the outfits worn by the Miranda Kerr in our adverts. - & considering they're only available for a limited time, I'd snatch them while the sizes are in stock!

This month we have the Floral Print Chiffon Dress taking centre stage for the OPI collection. I'm an absolute sucker for floral floaty dresses & at £19.99 it would be rude not pick up at least 1 colour, if not all three!

I think what I love most about this dress, is although florals are associated mainly with the summer months, Mango have introduced a lot of neutral and warm autumn shades which makes this dress perfect to carry over the seasons. - Wear with gladiator sandals or converse in the summer & then with tights & biker boots for the winter!
Plus this would look amazing with a thick knit cardigan & wellies at a summer festival!

What do you think of the Floral Print Chiffon Dress?

Graduating in style | Mango must haves

The graduation season is upon us & If you haven't seen the photos all over social media - You sir have been living under a rock!
Well, as the Grad hype has arrived & a lot of you lovely ladies are flooding through the shopping centres looking for the perfect frock or suit for the big day. Although my graduation will not be until next summer, as your ever dedicated little sales associate machine I have put together a treat of top outfits - All from Mango (of course), that are not only affordable but also oh so stylish.

I have set myself a challenge to put together a handful of tempting completed outfits for under £200. & yes ladies this means dresses, shoes, bags & accessories all included under 200 smack-a-roos!
Since working at Mango its become quite clear that many of you have this pre-misconception that we are one of these overly expensive shops - But I assure you we're not!

So without further a-do, take a look at my top graduation outfits!

| Dress | Necklace | Shoes | Bag |
Total outfit price : £119.96

Ombre! - We were obsessed with it in our hair so why not drape our body too?
I have to say I've been in love with this dress ever since it arrived in the Trinity Leeds store. This shift style dress teamed with some killer patient heels & a simple clutch is perfect for a stylish & chic look for your Graduation.

| Dress | Necklace | Rings | Bag | Shoes |
Total outfit price : £167.95

Va-va-voom, hello lady in red!
Ok so a little red dress is always a must have in any womans wardrobe, so why not rock this to your graduation day? I find red a perfect colour for people of all skin tones. It gives a very vintage look to us paler ladies & a sultry sexy look for all you tanned beauties.
I've added in a splash of gold jewellery & some unusual chain linked heels for a really luxurious look. Plus a really simple but real leather clutch - This will go with everything!

| Dress | Necklace | Bracelet | Bag | Shoes |
Total outfit price : £189.95

Royal blue for all the royal baby hype? I've actually seen this shade of blue in a lot of graduation photos - Perhaps its the colour of this summer. The ruffles in this little stunner are very 1950's flapper style, so the colour & cut alone is enough of a statement without overloading with extravagant jewellery.
I've put this together with some very modest nude heels & matching quilted clutch, very demure & classy!

| Jumpsuit | Belt | Bracelets | Shoes | Bag |
 Total outfit price : £199.95

& finally we have an exciting jumpsuit! I was going to put together a nice trouser suit ensemble for you but I remembered this little beauty (of which I wrestled onto a mannequin last week!) & just had to style it into a completed outfit for you.
For this one as you can see, I haven't included a necklace. I think the unusual waterfall neckline doesn't need anything else, so instead we have a simple 3 piece set of gun metal bangles & an amazing statement wrap waist belt. Plus some pretty sharp looking studded toe heels.

_________________________________________________

Well there you have it!
4 amazing outfits - If I do say so myself - each for under £200. I for one would wear each and everyone of these ensembles but I think my favourite is the most expensive of the lot, the jumpsuit!

Which is your favourite?

Mango | New season collections

It was inevitable but the Mango summer sale has almost come to an end, with only half of the shop left with discount & the amazing cheap finds are fast selling out. However this means we finally get to see some of the amazing new season collections coming into store.

This season expect to see a lot of  rock chick prints, eagles in particular in the casual & basics range. I was really happy to see they have followed the vintage trends & brought through some very Cath Kidson-esk prints through for the summer, which you can find in vest form tucked under some gorgeous cable knit wooden toggle cardigans.

The suit section this season is all about colour blocking with classic cut trousers and quality shirts. It seems like they're all about the royal blue and green but don't worry if you're colour-phobic there are some gorgeous monochrome pieces coming through.
Our amazing visual merchandiser Anna has dressed our mannequins in a crisp white suit, royal blue shirt and gold jewellery & let me tell you ladies, it looks unbelievably smart & stylish. Perfect for summer in the office! Not to mention a great range of dresses featuring bright oranges, greyscale ombre and even polka dot prints - Fabulous!

Soon the sale will be gone & the whole store will be filled with exciting new pieces perfect for your casual and work wardrobe. So why don't you pop down to Trinity Leeds & grab a bargain whilst the sale is still on or stock up on some great new season prints! .. Plus you could see me - Woohoo!

Have you bought anything from Mango's new season collections?
