Boyfriend t-shirts | Mini haul

 | Hogwarts T-shirt - £6 Primark | Mean girls t-shirt - Ebay |

I wish I could say I'm one of these girls that loves a dress, but I'm not. I'm definitely a jeans & t-shirt kind of girl through and through.  And ever since seeing Jess from Jessica In Your Ears Hogwarts t-shirt at a recent event, I've wanted my own! On a recent trip into Primark to grab the essentials I actually managed to get my hand on the navy blue version of this magical tee, and believe me I was also very tempted by the Slytherin and Griffindor tees too - But now that would be a tad obsessive now wouldn't it?

I've also recently been sent a fabulous t-shirt that commemorates one of my favourite films of all time, Mean Girls. I actually got this shirt for free through a store on Ebay after a very long winded dispute over 2 t-shirts going missing in the post and a completely made up investigation with royal mail by them. I eventually got a refund and a free t-shirt as compensation, but I won't be recommending this store any time soon as it seems from their recent feedback, this isn't the first time this has happened, and several people experienced the same treatment recently.

I am however utterly in love with both these tees. I've worn both simply with skinny jeans, sandals,  and a leather jacket, keeping the whole look very plain. But the inner geek inside me is just over the moon with both looks!

Boyfriend jeans & summer florals | WIWT

| Jeans - Mango | Shirt - Primark | Bag - Mango | Shoes - Topshop | Necklace - H&M |

Now we're getting into summer I'm banned from my forever favourite skinny jeans & black jumpers. Replaced by summery floral patterns and pastel shades (much to my pale skins annoyance). However I'm not quite ready to give up my jeans.. Being a size 12 and quite big on the thighs, as a rule I probably shouldn't be wearing boyfriend jeans as they use serve to make my ass and thighs look huge, but they're just so darn cute!

Personally I loved this outfit, the shirt looked really cute tucked in loosely, and paired with the neutral accessories it brought the whole look together. I wore this for a simple shopping trip with Creature, and felt cool enough without flashing too much milk bottle pale flesh!

What's your go-to summer outfit?

Asymmetric shirt | OOTD

| Blouse - Primark | Jeans - Mango | Bag - Deichmann | Watch - Michael Kors |

It's that time of year where the lighting is damn awful.. But lord I do love a good floral shirt!

I'll be bringing you a few over sized shirt outfit posts in the next few weeks, & you may recognise this one from last weeks January sales haul. This particular one is my favourite of the three I bought. It's slightly less see through which means I can get away with not wearing a tight tank top underneath. Although with the weather getting colder, extra layers are always welcome!

I've also featured my over sized envelope clutch, this was also in my last haul post, but I wanted to include this with the outfit so you can really get a sense of how big it actually is. Oversized bags are a favourite for me, I'm one of these bag hoarders that has to take a far too much makeup, tissues, diaries, big purses & other gadgets out with me at all times.. & yes, even on nights out I've been known to carry unnessesary tat, just in case.

Have you picked up any bargains lately?

January sales | Haul

| 3x Floral & check shirts - Primark £12 each | French Bulldog vest - H&M £5 | Green Aztec Cardigan - H&M £7 |
 | Black oversized jumper - Mango £19 | Shoe boots - Deichmann £24 | Blue dress - Warehouse £30 |
| Coral dress - H&M £12 | Bag - Deichmann £7.50 | CKin2u 100ml - Superdrug £19 | Necklace - Primark £5 |

Don't you just love a good sale?
I've been steadily purchasing over the past few weeks, and clearing out a lot of my old clothes to make space for a 'new me' vibe in my wardrobe. Can you believe I found 14 pairs of jeans?! I've thrown out over half of them, keeping only my favourites.

So I hit Primark last week and found one of the floral shirts & the necklace above. They're weren't on sale, but it always feels like sale prices anyway.. I loved the blouse so much that I went back and bought it in 2 other patterns later on. They're over sized & longer at the back, so look unbelievably flattering with a pair of turned up jeans.

I'm in absolute love with my boots & bag. The shoes were a planned buy, I'd seen them a few weeks ago full price at £35, but when I went in looking for suit shoes for Creature I found the last pair of 3's reduced to £24.. Fate! - The bag however was 1/2 price & a complete impulse buy. I love envelope clutches & this one is huge. Perfect to hit all my crap in for a night out & big enough for all occasions.

I have a bit of an obsession with shift dresses at the moment, they seem to be the only thing that flatters my figure. So the warehouse dress was reduced from £50 & was like gold dust to get hold of! I eventually tracked it down & bagged the last one in my size too. The powder blue colour is something I don't have in my wardrobe at the moment & I can help but think this would look perfect for my graduation this summer too.

Mini haul & Dinner | Primark, Mango & Handmade Burger co

Primark Frilly socks £2.50 | Primark pumps £6 | Primark vest £4

I've bought myself a few new little bits from work & the bargain central Primark this month!
So the bits from work have cost me next to nothing thanks to my tasty staff discount but I now pretty much own every colour of the split back tee. It comes in 4 colours (I have 3 of them..) Green, coral, blue floral & coral floral. - They're just so cute! There is a tiny popper button in the middle of the split that sits nicely over your bra strap if you're worried about bra exposure, or thanks to the popper being so little, you can freely wear it open backed with the bow tied and the bottom!
My favourite I have so far I think is the Coral (not photographed but you can see it here)
I've also purchased the embellished neck tee too. We've had this in work before but it sold out pretty sharpish, so I was so happy when it came back in & went straight into sale! £22.99 - Get in my wardrobe!
With both of these tops, if you're considering buying, I urge you if possible to try them on before hand though! - The split back tee has no stretch in it whatsoever, so you may need to try on your regular size & the size above depending on if you want to wear it with the popper closed.. If its fits slightly tighter, when you bend over the popper does tend to 'pop' open!
The embellished tee I found to be on the large side & although I am usually a 10/12 I ended up buying a small which is actually the equivalent of an 8! - Excellent!

The Primark bits were just a little bit of an impulse buy, I've recently bought a couple of maxi & midi dresses for the summer (post coming soon inc. a few Ebay bargains) & I wanted a pair of vans or converse to wear with them on casual days. But with my cash being a little tight I decided to go with the Primark Vans dupes which to be honest, for £6 do the job for those days where I'm running out to the shops.. & they are mega comfortable.
The socks are just adorable & considering these weigh up at less than a £1 a pair, how can you loose?! - Especially seems as Topshops' versions are a lot more expensive. You can get these in a range of colours, but I just went with the plain grey & white ones as I think they'll be a lot more versatile.
Finally I also bought a cute little butterfly vest (I also own this in navy blue & white polka-dot) It looks super cute with my jeans & converse & with the weather being so lovely lately, they've got quite a fair bit of wearige already!

You may have also seen my post on the Sheffield Blogger Meet Up last month, and thanks to the very generous Handmade Burger Co. & The organisers Rachel, Charlotte & Caroline we also received a "Buy1 get one for £1" voucher for another meal at Handmade Burger in our goody bags!
So of course myself & Creature snapped up the opportunity to visit the Leeds Trinity branch and try out one of their delicious lamb burgers. - Once again however we over loaded on the chips by making the mistake of having a portion each. It really is worth getting one portion between two!

I ordered a yummy Lamb & mint burger & Creature had the Lamb with redcurrant & ginger burger. Oh my NOM they were epic! Accompanied by a Corona & those epic homemade chips, we practically rolled home! - So much for the diet!

If you haven't visited a Handmade Burger Co. yet, I really recommend you do, their burgers really are a bit special!

What do you think of my haul?
& have you ever been to Handmade Burger?

Primark exfoliating wipes | Review

It's no secret that I'm a bit of a bargain beauty hunter.
Recently I've been covering quite a few of Primarks bargain beauty offerings & showing some blog love for their false nail sets.

I've been a buyer of Primarks face wipes for a while now, & have always been pretty impressed that the no fragrance makeup wipes are 2 for £1 and they're pretty decent for the money too. However today I came across their exfoliating wipes (£1 per 1 pack) & decided to give them a go.

The wipes smell pretty good, they have cucumber extract & have a lovely freshness about them as soon as the pack is opened. The texture is actually quite soft & the exfoliation is made up of small green bumps in the tissue.
I have to admit, I was a little disappointed, the wipes really stung my skin (I think that may be the cucumber) I have pretty sensitive skin so they haven't really agreed with me. I've also had to moisturise pretty heavily as they dried my skin out. The actual exfoliation was decent, it wasn't too harsh but I can definitely feel my skin has benefitted from the use.. However the stinging sensation is enough to make me not reach for these again in a hurry.

- Its a real shame because I really rate their other range of skin care products.. However, I think I'll stick to my usual exfoliating products from now on!

Vintage polka-dot #2 | NOTD

Hey girlies,

I'm still having a little bit of a love affair with Primarks £1 nail sets!
& I've brought you several posts about their nail collections lately including strawberry, red polka-dot, butterfly & moustache designs.

As I've mentioned in past posts, I opted not to use the adhesive provided with the nail set, I have some stronger nail glues which tend to give me a couple extra days wear.
I have to say, I really am in love with this design, its simple yet against a block coloured outfit it appears quite bold. & for someone like me who is terrible at nail art, its great knowing Primark have a fab range of designs I can pick up for pennies! I wore these over the weekend, for work and a cheeky few drinks with the boys in Leeds. So far they've been on on since Thursday and they've not fell off yet.. So a pretty good effort really for £1!

Primark seem to have atleast 3 new designs on the shelves each time I pop in so it looks like my string of NOTDs are likely to continue.. &&&& I have some fabulously garish new designs to show you very soon! Lady bugs and big bow design - Yes.

Mustache | NOTD

Another Primarni £1 steal!

Yep, I've gone all hipster, down with the kids & all that jazz. I have to admit, I actually love these, they are pretty cute and really simple. Although I have been wearing strawberry and bright candy striped nails lately I do like how I can literally pair these with anything.

Primark really are surprising my lately, again these aren't amazing quality but for the money they really are worth it. They bend pretty easy and you will need a stronger glue than the one provided, but so far these have lasted 4 days without any flicking off, which I think it pretty decent.
At the very least if you're looking for something funky for a night out, Primark nail are definitely worth a try.

Spring butterfly | NOTD

A'up gorgeous girlies (and boyos)

I say spring butterfly, but I'm guessing if you're from the UK you'll know full well that we're apparently still in the dead of winter! - Uni has been cancelled today due to the snow, so I'm currently sat in Caffe Nero waiting for my second shift at Mango, Trinity Leeds to start!
- Did anyone go to the Trinity opening? The Henry Holland dress was amazeballs!!!

I posted a few days a go about the vintage polka-dot nails I picked up for a £1 in Primarni, & these are the second pair I have tried out. I wanted a pair of subtle coloured nails for my first day at work & these really have impressed me. They're so delicate and pretty, & I'm actually really impressed with Primark. I mean yes, ok, the glue is shocking, but for £1 you can't expect miracles.. BUT if you invest in some decent glue they last a fair few days.

I put these on Monday morning before my first induction at Trinity, and they have lasted through training, uni and a shift at work without flicking off once. (Although one did fall off in the shower last night.. But 3 solid days without any chipping is pretty darn good!)

Vintage polka-dot | NOTD

Hey ladies!

Bringing you a cute little NOTD today. I bought these little beauties for £1 from Primark!! - Yep Primark. I'll bring you a couple of these posts in the next few days as I have a few other designs to show you too, including some adorable blue and white nautical striped nails and some neutral nails with butterfly detailing too.

For £1 you really can't complain, I mean, yes the glue is really poor quality. But I'm a pretty regular false nail wearer so luckily I have some stronger glues to hand. (excuse the pun!)
They lasted a few days without flicking off, which for cheap nails I was really impressed with. These particular ones are definitely my favourites of the bunch though, their right up my street with the vintage inspired polka-dots.

Have you ever tried Primark false nails?

Student loan haul

Its what all students have been eagerly awaiting for weeks, the student loan.
I wasn't actually planning on spending any of my pennies on clothes, but whilst taking a well deserved break (for my own sanity) from my Politics essay yesterday, it ended up being a super retail therapy session!

I was also planning to show you a couple of things from a little Missguided sales shop I did the other day too, the parcel arrived this morning but unfortunately (and not for the first time either) they have cocked up & sent me the complete wrong dress.
I also have a pair of jeans and an asymmetric top with that order but I'd rather wait until I have this mess with the wrong dress sorted before I show you the full mini haul.

Anyway, on with my bigger haul!
(apologies, this is going to be a pretty picture heavy post!)

New Look - Kelly Brook Scallop Lace Bra & matching briefs
£14.99 & £5.99

New Look - Kelly Brook Eyelash polka dot Bra & matching briefs
£14.99 & £6.99

New Look - Rose Mesh Strapless Bra & matching briefs | 2tone balconette Bra & matching briefs
Both bras £9.99 each & briefs £2.99 each

I should really have some reservations about posting my undies on the net.. But I'm shameless and lets be fair, everyone like a good pair of new knickers!

New Look - Can you believe it.. According to my receipt I didn't pay for this!

Primark - Red plaid shirt with ribbon collar detail £9

Primark - 6x multicolour small spiked rings £3

 Topshop - Whisky tshirt £22

River Island - Leather skirt (in the sale) £20

H&M - Asymmetric long skull vest £14

Yep, I think its fair to say I've spent some Wonga!
The Kelly Brook underwear is a new one for me, but after working at LaSenza I never really needed to branch out from my comfort zone. But seems as I was given the heave ho when the company went bust for a short time last year I think its time I updated my undies!
The Kelly brook underwear range for a starter is stunning, I was spoilt for choice & for all the big busted girls out there I can vouch that not only do these bras give you killer cleavage, but they super comfy!
The second two sets I'm actually taking back, they're slightly different sizes to the Kelly Brooks as they're New Looks own brand, so I need the next size up!

I think my favourites from this haul are definitely the skull print top & the leather skirt. To be honest all of the other tops were bought as little extras to team with the skirt. & wow, I can't believe I managed to get a real leather skirt for £20! - even on some websites the wet look skirts are not far off that price. *thumbs up*

So what do you think of my haul?
& if you're a student, have you had a cheeky shopping spree with yours?
