HoF giveaway winner | Wishlist

I've been a very lucky girl! Last week I received a little letter from the lovely Hayley from Frock me I'm famous after winning her House of Fraser £100 voucher giveaway. And as I've not had time to actually spend it yet, I thought I'd have a gander on the website and create a little wish list. Obviously I cant have all of the above items but they're definitely things I'm considering!

Ok so first up is the coat from Glamorous, I had one very similar to this but more of a boyfriend fit (see here) however I accidentally left it in a bar, & forgot which one it was left in! - Doh! And at £25.50 this coat is an absolute steal, probably because it's spring & lets face it, we won't need coats for much longer, but still, I love the tweed and leather contrast.

I'm also completely in love with these Michael Kors sandals, they're exactly what I need for SS14. Simple, classy and fabulous! I'm almost certain that I'll be purchasing these if my local HoF store stocks them.. I also loved the Radley tote bag. I'm one of these crazy bag ladies that completely hoards handbags, recycle bags, any kind of bag! - So I thought, why not have a designer tote? & for £10 it's something too affordable not to buy.

Since moving into my new home with Creature, we've been buying loads of appliances but one thing I've wanted for the longest time is a coffee machine, This Nespresso machine comes in at a reasonable £89.99 and in a rage of colours. Although I'm pretty sure I'd go with a bright red one to brighten up my kitchen. & finally, no HoF wish list would be complete without at least considering splurging on Yankee Candles, I've a serious obsession with the brand and drive Creature crazy buying them all the time, but they make our flat smell delicious.

If you had £100 to spend in House of Fraser, what would you buy?

Spring is here | Wishlist

I love a good internet shopping spree, although at the moment, I'm banned from spending anything until payday. So instead, I'm bringing you a wish list of a few pieces I want for spring.

First up is a statement jacket. I'm desperate for something bold and floral for this season, & I was instantly drawn to the Red floral silhouette print blazer from River Island. I thought I wanted a multi coloured jacket when I first started looking, but I love the blood orange/red in this jacket & the white and black accents would make it unbelievably easy to accessorize.
Something I have in abundance is black tops and jeans, but I loved this spaghetti strap top from H&M & the lovely powder blue jeans from Topshop. The blue is perfect for the coming summer months, especially because the UK weather can be pretty unpredictable, so a good pair of light jeans is an essential.

& onto accessories, no SS14 wardrobe is complete without a neutral or black pair of ballet flats, I liked the Dune Lucille Brogue Tassel Loafer for the simple reason it combined both leather and suede.  The jewellery is from Mango (of course) & the bag Zara - You can't beat a bit of Mango or Zara jewellery! But I felt in particular the red bag paired with the bracelet would pull the whole outfit together.

What do you think of my choices?

Dresslily.com | Wishlist & Mango dupes

I recently saw a great little outfit post from one of my favourite blogging gals Sammie from Little Blonde Life, in which she was wearing a cute royal blue dress from Dress Lily (see here). So, intrigued by the apparent low price tag & quality fabric dresses, I decided to have a gander myself.

Firstly, I was amazed at how cheap so many of the items are, think Primark prices for items that (in many literal cases) are Mango/Zara quality. And as I flicked through page upon page of lovely items I soon started to recognise some of the frocks, & to my amazement I have actually found 5 dresses that we were formally sold in Mango!

But first, lets talk about my wish list. You may notice from Bo Blabs blog banner, I love birds! Any bird print, bright colours & in particular parrots or swallows are just my ultimate favourite print. (I even have 3 bird tattoos) So as you can imagine I instantly fell in love with the bright bird shift dress, much to Creatures disapproval. My only criticism of this dress however would be the neckline. Had it been slightly lower I would have added it to my shopping bag, however I regrettably know that this style of neck doesn't actually suit me #MakesMyNeckLookLikeAThumb.
I also fell in love with the amazing range of accessories. In particular my favourites from the above wish list would be the bicycle brooch and the boots. Oh my lord those boots!  I've been on the hunt for a nice pair of dark brown/ox blood flat boots for ages, & the day I finally find a pair I love - They're sold out in my size! Gutted.

So, the MNG dupes. They are identical to the ones we sold last season, in fact all of the above bar dress 2 and 3 were sell outs too. & I think the majority started out in between £34.99 - £44.99.
Dress 1 we actually sold in several different styles, the landscape print was one of our best sellers consistently throughout last year. I can only imagine that these dresses were sold straight out of the factory without the Mango tags.
Now, Dresslily.com are selling these dresses in many cases under £10 which is a fraction of the price of Mango. So if you missed out on any of the above in the sales, I would snap these up asap!

Since writing this post, I have actually placed an order with DressLily, buying dress 4 & 5 of the MNG dupes as well as the adorable bicycle brooch & a pair of knee high suede boots. I'll be looking forward to styling some great outfits with my bargains in the future, so stay tuned!

Love for Olivia Burton | & Happy Birthday!

| 1 | 2 | 3 | 4 | 5 | 6 |

Having a major watch crush this week. A few of my favourite bloggers have posted some of the Olivia Burton range lately & its left me nothing short of envious!

I'm debating buying one myself with my birthday money. Oh hey btw, it's my birthday today! yayayayayay! - The majority of the range is around £100 or under, which for a fabulously stylish watch - in my eyes - is pretty reasonable!
My favourite is the Rose Gold Metallic watch. I've had a bit of a soft spot for Rose Gold ever since I've been stalking the Michael Kors website. I think I prefer the larger faces too, but then I wonder if this won't look too big on my tiny wrists.. Decisions, decisions.

So I've turned 23 today! & after a trip to uni for a costume fitting (I'm modelling for a friend's final project!) myself & Creature will be skipping off to Liverpool to see my family for the first time in months! - Far too long over due. But as I'm not going home for Christmas this year I'm definitely going to make the most of this special little weekend!

No doubt I'll throw a few birthday present posts together, although I'm more excited to see family & my Mama's new Dogue De Bordeaux puppy 'Bruce' -  A picture packed post will be coming soon which will have you squealing "awwwwwh" at your screens! - He's a seriously cute little chunk!

Party season looks | Mango

 | Dress | Clutch | Shoes |

Christmas is the best time to rock a glitzy frock! & the Disco open back sequined dress would be absolutely perfect for any party season occasion. I love the colour of this one, it's lovely to see a sequined dress in something other than black - However it is also available in navy blue, which I think is a great alternative if you own one too many LBD's!

I wanted to keep this look relatively simple, the dress should take centre stage, so paired with a great little structured bag - In this case the Boxy metal frame clutch. & some great classic strappy sandals, you will look glamorous enough for the red carpet.. Or the office party!

My second outfit comes with the gorgeous Monito lightweight wrap playsuit. Jumpsuits and playsuits are great for the party season, I myself own more than I can count on two hands & they're a special occasion favourite all year round. I particularly love the colour of the Monito playsuit, the blue is a gorgeous tone & a little more standout-ish to the blacks & reds we usually see around A/W party season.

You have that lovely thick waistband, so I thought adding one of Mango's classic suede wrap belts into the mix will add a more dressy feel - Although scrapping the belt and spicing the mix up with some gun metal jewellery & a statement clutch would work a treat too.

I may be a little in love with this box bag.. I'm thinking of doing a post dedicated just to the amazing box clutches. Mango have a great statement clutch collection at the moment, probably the best I've seen from the past few seasons.
Finally, throw in a pair of your favourite black leg elongating courts & you're ready to party!

| Dress | Shoes | Necklace | Clutch |

Sequins, sequins, sequins everywhere! I think I probably could have toned this down a little, but it's Christmas and the perfect time to sparkle! The velvet dress is quite subtle, we have it in store now & it looks gorgeous on. Although it does have sequins in the fabric, I don't think the photo here does it justice, I feel the pattern is a little more understated after seeing it up close.

I wanted to create a really effortlessly sparkly look. Again I've gone with the classic strappy sandals style, I think the silver tones go really well, & Mango have a great metallic accessories range at the moment.  The clutch from Look 2 as well as this lovely sequinned envelope clutch would go great with this dress, anything metallic gun metal tones to tie in the dresses thin belt.

& finally, for statement necklaces, Mango are definitely a contender this season. I was blown away when I first started working there by the jewellery, & this season is no exception.
For this outfit I chose one of the smaller necklaces, I played around with the idea of something big & chunky but I think the 'grunge' element of this necklace works really well with the velvet dress without being too overpowering.

Are you looking forward to the party season?

Turning 23 | A birthday wishlist

It's November & I'm slowly creeping towards my 23rd birthday. Both Creature and family keep asking me what I want for gifts but honestly there's nothing I want so badly to ask for, which sounds utterly ridiculous for a blogger I know!

So, I've had a good hard think about things I would quite like to own & have complied a small list. Honestly none of these things are something I'd ever ask anyone to buy me. I'm really more than happy to receive a 5er in a card to put towards my ever growing list of tattoo designs & The Body Shop addiction. But the bits above are just 5 things that I'd like to have if I had the pennies to splurge.

You may be thinking, an advent calendar? - That's hardly a splurge worthy gift. But last December I was glued to my computer screen watching my favourite bloggers opening their very own Ciate nail polish advent calendar, eagerly waiting to see which beautiful colour came next & wishing I'd had the sense to buy one!

Hi my name is Kerys, & I'm a shoe addict. Pheww glad I got that off my chest!
Yeah, kind of a big lover of shoes & after seeing the Glamorous Jeffrey Campbell competition on facebook I've fell head over heels for the Everly cut out boots! - But with them being a depressing £130, It looks like I'll be trying to find a decent high street dupe instead!

Coco Chanel is a scent that always reminds me of my Mama, I was forever pinching a spritz when I was younger, much to her annoyance! - Saying that, I can completely understand now, because it comes at a pretty hefty price tag!
The GHDs are a pipe dream too, I can barely afford a pair of these myself & I'd die if I knew anyone spent that much on me. So it looks like I'll be putting together a "GHD fund" & saving until I can burn the S#*t out of my hair!

& finally, I've applied for a press pass for this years Clothes Show Live. This is probably the only birthday present that may seem within reach, I'll be without a doubt buying myself a ticket, as the 25th anniversary is not something I'm willing to miss out on!
So if any of my family are reading this, a few pennies towards what I know will be a very shopaholic frenzy day would be amazeballs!

What do you think of my birthday wish list?

Lusting after.. Boohoo | Wishlist

Whilst browsing Facebook earlier this week, Boohoo posted an album of their aw13 tartan collection which instantly pulled me into a massive online wish list shop ready for payday!
I'm a huge lover of tartan & always have. Half my family are Scottish & with my reddish hair, it's a pattern I've always felt comfortable & stylish in. Out of all the tartan items on Boohoo (& there is a goldmine of it!) I was particularly drawn to the gorgeous midi skater dress above. Although midi dresses and skirts tend to make me look shorter, I can't stop looking at this dress & not feel an overwhelming urge to buy.

Amongst the dress I've almost fell in love with this particular pair of cut out buckle boots & the faux leather sleeve coat. Admittantly this coat is almost identical to my current grey tweed & leather one from H&M (see here) but I am in need of a new all black coat.
The accessories were all just little bits I kept hovering over. I am an accessory hoarder & creature often despairs at my ever growing jewellery collection. But there is something about big jewels, fur & leather that draws me in like a big fat magpie!

What do you think of my choices?

Off to Marbs | Holiday Wishlist

Oh hay!
So, I'm off to Marbella to soak up the last of the sun in October! I'm so happy it's un real, this is my first holiday abroad in 4 years, in fact it will be the longest break I've had at all in 4 years. & of course, we're doing it in style by visiting Creatures much loved Marbs (He lived & worked there for 3 years - Lucky duck!)

Its got me in a right pickle though. With most of the high street's coming out of summer sale & getting ready with their A/W collection's in store, I'm finding it hard to find a decent range of stylish clothes fit for the weather. ok, yeah I'm most likely to be getting the majority of my holiday clothes from Mango of course, but I really want to get my hands on the key pool side bits.

I'm a curvy girl, which means true to stereotype, I'm really conscious about my jelly belly. So something that covers me yet looks stylish is a must. & to be honest I have fell in love with Missguideds' Valisa Fringed Swimsuit in black & red. The fringing is super cute & on trend but nothing too 'in your face' but I'm not sure if having it in two colours is too much? Maybe I need to find an alternative.. More shopping huzzar!

The Kimono is a pool side essential, & this particular one will look amazing with the swim suit. I want to look stylish (because c'mon, it Marbs) but I need to be practical too I guess. I'm ginger, I'm going to burn, that's inevitable. So I guess the Emerson Tie Dye Kimono is a must have?
The blazer & accessories are just more holiday extra's. I'm unsure about how the weather will be at night with us going in October so I don't want to be cold, so I think a nice white blazer will look great with most outfits. & of course the floppy hat & mirrored sunglasses are must haves! - Bigger the better

What do you think of my holiday essentials wish list?
& have you been on holiday this year?

Everything £5 | Wishlist

Ok so a shop-a-holics dream come true.. Last weekend I was introduced to Everything5pounds.com & within half an hour I had a wish list a mile long! I wasn't really expecting much, I mean everything being £5 suggests the quality is going to be 'market stall' quality but actually I was really impressed.

Above are just 8 of the things waiting on my wish list. I actually originally added the cutest white lace - peter pan collar dress to my bag & before I got a chance to buy it had sold out! - Unbelievable!
But never mind, there are plenty of other bargains to be had, especially in the shoe section.
The T-bar heels above are available in a massive selection of colours not to mention the amount of gorgeous crystal encrusted summer sandals available to snatch up.

After reading some of the comments on the website however, I am a little worried, it seems like 50/50 split on opinions over quality. But I'm wondering if these bad reviews are coming from people who's expectations are too high?.. I mean, you're paying £5 for a new item of clothing, the quality isn't going to be up there with designers, but who cares!? It's five freakin' quid!

Anyway, my favourites from above have definitely got to be the faux leather midi skirt & the Kimono, they both look amazing & from photos I think bang on trend.
& yes ladies, the underwear set includes both the corset & the thong all for £5.. For someone who worked in a Lingerie shop previously, paying £20+ for bras even after discount.. This is like shopping porn for me!

Have you ever bought from everything £5 before?
& What did you think of the quality?

Graduating in style | Mango must haves

The graduation season is upon us & If you haven't seen the photos all over social media - You sir have been living under a rock!
Well, as the Grad hype has arrived & a lot of you lovely ladies are flooding through the shopping centres looking for the perfect frock or suit for the big day. Although my graduation will not be until next summer, as your ever dedicated little sales associate machine I have put together a treat of top outfits - All from Mango (of course), that are not only affordable but also oh so stylish.

I have set myself a challenge to put together a handful of tempting completed outfits for under £200. & yes ladies this means dresses, shoes, bags & accessories all included under 200 smack-a-roos!
Since working at Mango its become quite clear that many of you have this pre-misconception that we are one of these overly expensive shops - But I assure you we're not!

So without further a-do, take a look at my top graduation outfits!

| Dress | Necklace | Shoes | Bag |
Total outfit price : £119.96

Ombre! - We were obsessed with it in our hair so why not drape our body too?
I have to say I've been in love with this dress ever since it arrived in the Trinity Leeds store. This shift style dress teamed with some killer patient heels & a simple clutch is perfect for a stylish & chic look for your Graduation.

| Dress | Necklace | Rings | Bag | Shoes |
Total outfit price : £167.95

Va-va-voom, hello lady in red!
Ok so a little red dress is always a must have in any womans wardrobe, so why not rock this to your graduation day? I find red a perfect colour for people of all skin tones. It gives a very vintage look to us paler ladies & a sultry sexy look for all you tanned beauties.
I've added in a splash of gold jewellery & some unusual chain linked heels for a really luxurious look. Plus a really simple but real leather clutch - This will go with everything!

| Dress | Necklace | Bracelet | Bag | Shoes |
Total outfit price : £189.95

Royal blue for all the royal baby hype? I've actually seen this shade of blue in a lot of graduation photos - Perhaps its the colour of this summer. The ruffles in this little stunner are very 1950's flapper style, so the colour & cut alone is enough of a statement without overloading with extravagant jewellery.
I've put this together with some very modest nude heels & matching quilted clutch, very demure & classy!

| Jumpsuit | Belt | Bracelets | Shoes | Bag |
 Total outfit price : £199.95

& finally we have an exciting jumpsuit! I was going to put together a nice trouser suit ensemble for you but I remembered this little beauty (of which I wrestled onto a mannequin last week!) & just had to style it into a completed outfit for you.
For this one as you can see, I haven't included a necklace. I think the unusual waterfall neckline doesn't need anything else, so instead we have a simple 3 piece set of gun metal bangles & an amazing statement wrap waist belt. Plus some pretty sharp looking studded toe heels.

_________________________________________________

Well there you have it!
4 amazing outfits - If I do say so myself - each for under £200. I for one would wear each and everyone of these ensembles but I think my favourite is the most expensive of the lot, the jumpsuit!

Which is your favourite?

Spending wages | Mango Disney Couture wishlist

A'up ducks!
 (channelling my best Yorkshire accent)

If you follow me on twitter or read my post on dressing for interviews (see here) you may have seen that I was offered a job at Mango! - I'll be starting in 3 weeks at the brand new store at Trinity Leeds.

Anyways, seeing as I have the job and my wages will without a doubt be spent on new clothes from there, I've been having a gander online and lusting after all the clothes.
Like a lot of beauty bloggers I'm totally obsessed with all things Disney, especially Disney couture and their vintage sketches, so you can image how excited I got when I found the Mango Disney collection!

1 | 2 | 3 | 4

.These aren't the only t-shirts you can get, they also come in a range of colours too, but the white ones are just adorable. I think my personal favourite is #2
Like I said, Disney couture is just beautiful, Its the more socially acceptable option for adults to wear for one.. Although I would quite happily (and shamelessly) strut down the high-street in a Tangled t-shirt..

#1 and #4 are also in the sale right now at £7.99 and £6.99, so I suppose it would be rude not to buy them for work right? But on the topic of sale items, have you actually checked out the Mango sale? Its amazing!! - I'm eyeing up several pairs of super skinny jeans for less than £20 at the moment!
- Unnnnnbelieveable!

Which is your favourite t-shirt?

River Island Party Frocks

I've been doing a lot of online window shopping this week in prep for Christmas.
This year me & the Creature have agreed to buy each other outfits rather than pointless trinkets & stocking fillers, & go for a meal/drinks somewhere fancy instead. SO, that being the case I have been dropping links like no tomorrow on Facebook hoping he'll take the hint! ('Cos I'm subtle like that..)

Anyway, if you're an regular reader of Bo Blab you'll know I have a slight (massive) obsession with all things River Island, and of course the majority of my subtle hints have been from there.
- With the exception of one tag, in which I'm stood with a huge cheesy smile in Clintons holding a teddy bear almost as big as me!

Anyway I decided to compile a post about my favourite dresses on RI online at the moment. Some of them admittedly are ones that would not strictly suit my frame, however, they're far too gorgeous not to showcase.

I love the detail on the shoulder of this dress. Its beautifully simple and classy.
I've took the plunge into wearing tighter fitted dresses & for all my curvy girls out there this would be a great first step into fitted dresses, the ruched fabric will help hide a multiple of sins but still leave you feeling sexy.
I know I'd definitely rock the works Christmas doo in this number!

Grecian style dresses just keep creeping back. I wanted one of these a few years back after seeing a white one in Quiz (but with my pale skin its a good job I didn't buy it)
I think I must have a little bit of a lure for navy blue, a lot of my recent purchases have been dark blues & navy's, but I personally think its a nice classy twist on the LBD. This one would look so graceful on any shape, the skirt is just stunning.

This would be perfect for someone like my Mama (Shes a stylish Mum!) , personally I don't tend to wear dresses than hang over the bust, they make me look small and frumpy, but the gold sequin detail on this dress is lovely.

I can imagine this dress would turn some heads at a Christmas party, not only does it look really festive, but team with some killer boots & you have a show-stopper look for all year round!

Ooooo so pretty! As you can see embellishment is a big trend this year (as was it last year) so, of course the, majority of my holiday picks are just so.
I had to throw a LBD in here, I mean I don't think I could personally wear this because again it's not a very fitted number, but its a real statement dress. & I think would look perfect with a pair of black or gold heels & a simple clutch.

This looks so festive. I love love loveeee silver dresses around this time of year, they look stunning and so classy.
I have actually seen this dress worn on a stranger last week and she had opted to wrap a black belt around her waist, the result looked amazing. If I had £65 I would definitely purchase this and do the same, but sadly I have no pennies so I may have to wait until the January sales.

Now this is within my budget! I'm slightly torn between this and the purple version but I don't really own many green/turquoise clothes so I think it would be wiser to go with something new.
I have a pale pink dress very similar to this (see post here) & the style looks amazing on curvy frames, if you're a fan of accentuating then this style is definitely for you. On the other hand if you're a boyish frame this is the perfect dress for creating curves too!
-I swear it makes my bust look 3 times bigger!!-

So there are my favourite festive dresses from River Island, I hope you like my choices.
I was thinking of maybe continuing with this theme and compiling a few posts of festive wear for other high street retailers, but you're the audience so what do you think?
Do you want to see more top pick posts?

Birthday | Missguided Wishlist

Well guys,
I'm offically getting old. no longer a spring chicken, I'm 22 on Thursday! I feel like all the 'wild' days are gone with 18 and 21.. What is my life coming to? Answer = Fridays night in front of the tele with bourbon biscuits in a onesie!

But anyway, one of my birthday presents this year off my wonderful Dad has been two platinum tickets to The Clothes Show Live!!  - I haven't been in like 3 years so this is a major treat!
But I've been contemplating my outfit for the day & seeing as it my birthday & hopefully I'll get some wonga from family. I really fancy getting myself a new outfit.

SO, here is my little wishlist from Missguided!

1.
Lester Tweed & Leather Contrast Jacket
£34.99

How pretty is this jacket!? I wasn't a massive fan of the leather sleeve look at first, but it looks amazing with the tweed.
I've actually only just bought a fur collar leather jacket, so I don't really need another jacket right now.. But.. I want it soooo baddddd!!!

2.
Alathea Stud Shoulder Top In Khaki
£15.99

Sadly I'm a rare sight on the club dance floors, so I'm a sucker for buying cute day tops.
Loving the stud detail on this, although I'm pretty sure Primark do a very similar version of this for half the price, so I may have to investigate further!
But to be fair, for £15, its a bargain anyway! - I'm just a cheapskate

3.
Esme High Waist Skinny Jeans In Black
£24.99

Jeans jeans jeans.. My day time best friends.
I 've recently gone through all my jeans and thrown almost 20 pairs that were beyond dead, & shamefully now only own 3 pairs. I need some black jeans in my life.
They're slimming and the winter staple pants.. So get in my wardrobe!

4.
Vanilda Platform Cross Stud Boots In Tan
£45.99

Probably more of a want than need.. But these are absolutely stunning..
I'm a late one on the cross trend, only owning a small pair of earrings, but these are so so pretty I may have to cave and jump on the bandwagon.

There were so many more things I really really wanted, but these are definitely the top 4.. I'll probably get round to posting the rest of them pretty soon.. Who knows they may even end up being in a OOTD post soon if my bank card goes wandering!

So what do you think of my Missguided wishlist?
